As part of the Family Safety Fair, The City of Healdsburg will be holding the 2nd Annual Shredding Identify Theft Event at the Healdsburg Community Center. This involves having a large shredding vehicle will be parked in front of the center and residents will have their important documents shredded. This is a Free event.

This year the City will be conducting a Children's ID- Fingerprinting service

The Club is asked to help setup at starting at 9:30 am and providing help until 12 pm. This could be covered in 2-hour slots

The actual Safety Fair will go from 9-2:00 pm.

You can take advantage of this Free shredding event by bringing your sensitive documents to be destroyed. 

If you know someone who are not able to make the event like the sick or elderly, bring in their documents to be professionally disintegrated.

Below is a list of the participating members:

 

·         The Healdsburg Fire Department will conduct tours of the Fire Safety House and perform fire extinguisher training

·         The California Highway Patrol will perform Certified Child Car seat Installations and conduct traffic safety training

·         The Sonoma Chapter of the American Red Cross will conduct disaster preparedness training and provide free smoke detectors

·         Save Lives Sonoma will be present to conduct “Hand’s Only” CPR Training

·         Healdsburg Police Department will conduct a Children’s ID-Fingerprinting, Identity Theft, Shredding services

·         Cal Fire: Wildfire Preparedness training, static displays and Smokey Bear

·         Sonoma County Bike Coalition will conduct a children’s Bike Workshop/Rodeo for children with Spoke Folk Cyclery providing free bike repairs

·         ATT will conduct a Distracted Drivers Program featuring a virtual reality simulation

·         PG&E

·         The Healdsburg Electric Utility will conduct electrical safety demonstrations

·         Bell’s Ambulance will provide free blood pressure checks

·         The Sonoma County Library Foundation’s Free Bookmobile

·         El Corazon of Healdsburg to perform outreach to the Latino community and Spanish speakers
