A Brief Biography:  Jeane Slone is the past Vice President and present Board member of the California Redwood Writer's Club.  She is a member of the Healdsburg Literary Guild, the Military Writer's Society of America, and the Pacific Coast Air Museum.  Jeane also serves as a tutor for the Library Literacy Program.  She has been a featured speaker on many occasions and is the emcee for the monthly event, Dining With Authors in Santa Rosa. 

Her first historical fiction, "She Flew Bombers", won the 2012 National Indie Finalist Book Award.  In 2009, Ms. Slone received a grant from the Sonoma County Arts Council to gather six former WASPs for a historical panel discussion. It was a standing-room-only event of which a DVD was made.  Her other two historical novels are "She Built Ships During WWII" and "She Was An American Spy During WWII".
